FINDING MY NICHE…

Finding My Niche: Embracing What Makes Me Different

Hey there, beautiful souls! 🌟 It’s Andy, aka The Virgo Andy, and today I want to dive into something that’s been on my mind a lot lately — finding a niche in a world that often expects us to fit into neat little boxes. Spoiler alert: I don’t, and maybe I never will. And guess what? That’s totally okay.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt like I’ve existed in this space where I didn’t quite fit into society’s norms. Whether it was growing up as a Latino kid who didn’t exactly follow traditional paths, navigating the world as an LGBTQ+ individual, or balancing my creative passions with my love for sports and digital marketing, I’ve always had this sense of straddling different worlds. It can feel isolating at times, right?

But instead of squeezing into a mold that didn’t feel right, I’ve learned to create my own niche — one that celebrates all the things that make me, me. And trust me, the journey to finding that niche was anything but smooth.

Embracing the “In-Between”

We live in a world that loves to categorize people: fitness influencer, lifestyle blogger, digital marketer, or even “that guy who loves horror movies.” But what if none of those labels fit perfectly? I’m not just one thing. I’m not just a sports enthusiast or a digital marketer. I’m also someone who loves horror movies, is passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, enjoys a good workout session, and adores my dogs Querida and Papi like they’re family (because they are!).

For a long time, I struggled with trying to find one label to define myself. But eventually, I realized: I didn’t have to choose. There’s no need to fit into society’s pre-packaged boxes.

Creating My Own Lane

When I launched The Virgo Andy, I made a promise to myself: I would be authentically me, even if that meant not fitting into a traditional niche. My brand would be a mix of everything that makes me feel alive — digital marketing, lifestyle content, sports, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and my love for all things spooky.

It took time to get comfortable with not conforming to a single niche. But the beauty of creating your own space is that it attracts people who vibe with the real you, not just your label. It’s about finding those who appreciate the full spectrum of who you are — not just the parts that seem polished and "on-brand."

Letting Go of Expectations

It’s easy to get caught up in what’s expected based on societal norms. There were moments of doubt where I questioned whether I was doing this “right.” But the key to success (and happiness) lies in letting go of those expectations. We are all multi-dimensional, and our niches should reflect that.

The Virgo Andy isn’t about fitting in; it’s about standing out. It’s about showcasing the messy, the fun, and the real.

Building a Community of “Non-Normals”

One of the most fulfilling parts of this journey has been connecting with people who don’t fit into the usual molds. It’s freeing to share a true self with others and build a community where everyone feels accepted for exactly who they are.

Navigating life while feeling like an outsider at times is a shared experience for so many of us. This community is all about celebrating differences, embracing individuality, and knowing that we’re all just trying to live our best lives.

Finding Joy in the Journey

At the end of the day, finding a niche isn’t about following a blueprint. It’s about finding what brings joy and embracing it fully. For me, that means showing up as my whole self — through my work with Diablos Outsports, my love for my dogs, or sharing my thoughts on social media. It’s all part of the same journey, and I’m grateful for every twist and turn.

Thanks for being here, and let’s continue making magic — in our own way, on our own terms. 💫

With love,
Andy 🏳️‍🌈
